Wherever you live, four generations of piano expertise are one message away.
Your message goes to Todd Lindeblad for buying, our acquisition team for selling, or Matt Witte for restoration. You will hear back personally, very shortly, and from there you decide what makes sense, at whatever pace suits you.
Our showroom is in Pine Brook, New Jersey, but we sell, restore and ship pianos anywhere in the country and around the world. Most of our customers live far from New Jersey. In fact, for as long as our records go back, 85% of the pianos we sell and restore have left the state. California is our largest market, and we have delivered to 49 states and 16 countries across four continents.
Shipping is free for Lindeblad customers, handled by professional piano movers in climate-controlled trucks and fully insured. We assume all risk and responsibility for your piano's safe travel.
It depends on why you want to restore it. If the piano is sentimental, it is almost always worth restoring, and Matt Witte will give you a thorough answer and a free evaluation once he knows your piano. If the goal is resale, restoration typically returns about what you put into it, so we do not recommend it for that reason alone.
For a Steinway, our serial number guide will tell you the year. For other brands, enter the serial number, found on the cast iron plate near the tuning pins, at pianoagecalculator.com. For a value estimate, a local technician at PTG.org can assess your piano in person. If you are thinking of selling a Steinway grand, we would be glad to prepare an offer.
Every piano we sell carries a 5 to 20 year warranty, free nationwide delivery, and a 30-day money-back guarantee: if the piano is not right for you, we collect it and refund you in full. Restoration work is warrantied on everything we restore, with free round-trip shipping.
Yes. The current offer is 0% APR for 18 months, with terms from 6 to 120 months. Full details are on our financing page.
We would love to see you. Visits are by appointment, Monday through Friday, with select weekend availability, so a specialist can give you their full attention. If you are unable to visit in person, we can walk you through any piano on video, and free nationwide delivery brings it to you either way.
We make offers on any Steinway grand, regardless of age or condition, and we offer consignment for Steinway grands as well. Donations follow the same rule: if it is a Steinway grand, we would be glad to talk. For other pianos, many people have success on Pianomart, eBay, or Craigslist.
Any Steinway grand can be traded in toward a purchase, wherever it was originally bought, and other pianos may qualify as well. Todd Lindeblad confirms trade-ins case by case. Every piano purchased from Lindeblad also carries a lifetime trade-in option.
Shipping is free for Lindeblad customers, on every purchase and round trip on every restoration. Professional piano movers handle each delivery in climate-controlled trucks, and we assume all risk and responsibility from the moment we put our hands on your piano. For stand-alone moving, our sister company Kunis Piano Moving can prepare an estimate.
We restore grand pianos only at this time. For upright work, a registered piano technician near you at PTG.org will serve you best.
Tuning is a service any local technician can handle in your home, and you can find one at PTG.org. Every piano we restore or sell is tuned several times before delivery, and we include a complimentary in-home tuning once it arrives.
Lindeblad has been family-owned for 106 years, and Todd Lindeblad is the fourth generation to run it. Our team includes 25 master craftsmen, and we have sold or restored more than 5,000 pianos.
Many people assume a piano company has to be nearby. Whether you are twenty minutes from our showroom or two thousand miles, the process is the same, and so is the piano that arrives at your door.
“They delivered my piano in the time frame that was discussed even though I was 1,000 miles away. Unbelievable transformation. I feel as I have a brand new 1921 Steinway that can stay in my family for generations.”
