I "met" Lindeblad Piano Restoration when I was searching out the comparitive value of a restored Steinway I was considering locally. I visited several websites and when I came across Lindeblad Piano, the integrity of this company burst out from the website pages. It was an incredibly wholesome first impression that has been confirmed again and again. But back to the first website visit - there was Todd, showcasing a 1915 Hamburg Steinway Grand, Model O in its unrestored condition, explaining how rare it was with its beautiful Rosewood veneer. I thought, "That's my piano!" And yes, this treasured and distinctive piano now graces our home. It seems that it has always been mine. I am very thankful that Todd and Sean guided me through the entire process. Over the years, Lindeblad has always been my #1 choice, so I knew who to call when it was time to restore my 1925 Steinway Model O to its former glory. I was immediately connected to Matt Witte whom I call my maestro. All my questions, concerns, timetable for pick up and delivery, restoration, and refinish were immediately answered and promptly handled in the most professional manner possible. To my surprise, I received a delicious gift of over-sized, chocolate-covered strawberries, which I promptly devoured. Matt ALWAYS had time to keep me informed, send videos of my piano’s progress.. Matt is an encyclopedia of piano information. There was never a detail left unanswered. For me, Matt was my superstar. I would also like to thank Todd Lindeblad, the owner and my conductor, and all the superb craftspeople that worked on my piano from the bottom of my heart. They gave me back the piano of my dreams. The articulation, restoration and refinishing of my Steinway surpassed all my expectations. If Matt is my maestro, then Jay Itani is my encore. He delivered my Steinway. He treated my Steinway like his own. She was shown all the love and care one could possibly imagine. The delivery was on time with updates to keep me informed, which I greatly appreciated. Jay spent time helping me with the perfect placement and best angle to showcase “Miss Steinway” in the living room. However, there is more. I did not realize that with a satin ebony finish, I could erase marks, smudges, or small scratches with an ultra fine steel wool pad. Lindeblad supplied me with a complete kit with instructions to maintain the beauty of my newly refinished piano. I will never forget Jay’s demo. He CARED, and it showed. My restored piano is a beauty to behold in every detail. It took me days to fully grasp the complete artistry of Lindeblad’s workmanship and love evident in every possible detail. Lastly and most importantly, my Steinway delivered a sound and touch that I had envisioned in my mind and soul. Its response to my touch was immediate. The feel of my fingers gliding over the refinished ivory keys felt like velvet. My fingers floated effortlessly to give me the precise sound I desired. The most profound word I kept repeating was “‘WOW.” My fingers literally danced over the keys. The pressure of my hand delivered the most delicate pianissimo to a grand, robust fortissimo. Melodies were poetically lyrical - almost angelic - with the slightest touch of my fingers. I was playing “in the moment.” Majestic and heavenly! To complete my experience, not only did I receive a thank you gift but an appointment for a piano tuning by a master technician. I consider Joey Flemmer of Lodi, California as the “frosting on the cake.” Again, Joey was the finale to a grand journey at Lindeblad. My Steinway is at her most beautiful in looks, touch, and sound thanks to the team at Lindeblad. Thank you a thousand times and more! I am in heaven every day. We had an excellent experience with the Lindeblad Piano Restoration company, especially Todd Lindeblad. After years of dreaming about owning a Steinway and months of searching online and in music stores, we learned about Lindeblad. Since we live a little over an hour away, Todd invited us to tour the Lindeblad restoration facility and try out the Steinways that were ready for sale. After 2 trips to the facility and lots of piano-playing, we selected just the right piano for us -- a fully restored 1921 Steinway Model O Grand. We just love it! Todd was very patient and knowledgeable. He was honest and trustworthy, and true to his word. The delivery was on schedule and done with the best of care. Lindeblad has an excellent team of craftspeople, and I highly recommend using Lindeblad for a piano restoration or for purchasing a nicely restored piano. I can't say enough good things about Todd and everyone at Lindeblad Piano Restoration!
Lindeblad Piano did a great job restoring our 1914 Steinway O! They did a full restoration, including rebuilding the action and refinishing the case. I was concerned that the fast action that I had always loved would change, but it feels the same as always. The tone is incredible - much better than this piano has sounded over the past 40 years. The soundboard crack was repaired, and the pin block was replaced, so the piano now holds its tuning. When we received the piano back from Lindeblad, there was a DamppChaser installed - which will keep the piano environment stable. It was a pleasure working with Todd and the rest of the Lindeblad team. There was never any pressure, and Todd answered all of my questions. Lindeblad is a highly professional and reputable company, based on my experience. I had planned to visit the Lindeblad facilities, but had to cancel at the last minute; hopefully, I'll get there in the future. The restoration took longer than planned, primarily due to COVID supply chain issues, but the Lindeblad team managed to get the needed parts as soon as they were available. The wait was well worth it, as the piano is beautiful and sounds great! We would highly recommend Lindeblad Piano, if you are considering restoring a Steinway. Their team includes former personnel from he Steinway factory, and they have decades of experience. They provided great service - including picking up and delivering the piano (across the country!), and making sure everything was OK after the piano was delivered. Overall, it was a great experience. Lindeblad Piano gets 5 stars!
Just got my 1918 Steinway O yesterday. I couldn't possibly be happier The Lindeblad delivery guys were great, courteous and efficient. They even helped us change the bulbs in the light fixture on the ceiling over the piano. The piano exceeds my expectations. The action is heavy and sound is mellow with depth, as I ordered. The new sound board crafted by Galo Torres, the new strings, and the finely regulated actions are working together beautifully in my new instrument. I will enjoy playing this Steinway O for years to come, or until the light bulbs burn out again in the piano room. Then it would be time for another piano (maybe a D) from Lindeblad, so the delivery guys could help us change the bulbs.

I had the first of two tunings of the beautiful piano that the folks at Lindeblad delivered. The tuner told me that whoever restored this piano did an outstanding job. He pointed out many details that only a great tuner could appreciate. The workmanship – the soundboard – all in exceptional condition and quality. He was surprised that I trusted a company to deliver such a jewel, sight unseen. (Though your video of this piano being played was very influential). I told him that any company that is passed down from great grandfather to grandfather to father to son MUST be a great company. A company like that has its reputation of generations on the line and would not let us down. You proved that, Todd. I take my hat off to you, Todd. My life is now officially changed, thanks to you.
In terms of customer focus and doing everything (I mean everything) to get the customer comfortable about their purchase - I just haven’t met anyone like Todd Lindeblad. He truly aims to get the right piano for your family. Another reviewer had mentioned it - Todd should teach his brand of customer focus! We need more businesses like this. Todd systematically addressed every single concern I had about buying a piano remotely. He was very responsive to my questions and was able to give me solid guarantees that allayed my fears about the piano we liked. I felt Todd cared about my purchase like he would if I were a family member. Lindeblad is a long running family business and Todd has been working with pianos for his entire life. It shows! They have a great team of craftsman many who’d worked at Steinway before restoring the pianos.
